The warehouse of <span class="red-text">the future</span>
How Connox implemented SYNAOS' Warehouse Execution in its new warehouse in Laatzen.
The challenge
For their newly built warehouse in Laatzen, Germany, Connox was looking for a trustworthy logistics partner. They needed a door-to-door solution for their 50,000 m² warehouse to coordinate all material flows and transport resources of their intralogistics while also providing a complete overview of all activities. All of this needed to be achieved within 12 months.
The solution
While working closely with the Connox team to define the most efficient information process, we faced some intriguing challenges, including synchronizing and simplifying processes so they could be adapted for various working areas. Additionally, the large variety of languages spoken by the warehouse team was another aspect we did not anticipate. With people from different cultural backgrounds, we identified a real need to create a self-explanatory interface that would be easily understandable for all warehouse workers.
In the end, the implementation of the SYNAOS IMP Storage Management not only led to the expected result of a door-to-door solution for the warehouse, but we even went beyond the original requirements: We helped Connox reach new levels of efficiency by shortening the implementation times for the users and reducing the errors that occur due to misunderstandings and unclear processes.
Why it was a success
Our Warehouse Execution solution, including SYNAOS' Storage Management, can be used as a door-to-door solution in a wide range of warehouses. In the course of our cooperation with Connox, we developed a standardized, scalable process solution from whose innovative spirit others will also benefit. Furthermore, with our intuitive, innovative and almost language-independent variant of a Warehouse Execution solution, we have significantly raised the bar for warehouse management interfaces.
