Plug & Produce: Fast proof of concept at the <span class ="red-text">MAN Digital Production Lab</span>
How our cloud-based SaaS approach minimized setup time and led to a quick proof of concept. The MAN Digital Production Lab in Munich needed an immediately available solution for placing orders with AGVs and AMRs: The Intralogistics Management Platform from SYNAOS.
The challenge
The current architecture did not meet MAN's requirements for a quickly adaptable environment to interact with cutting-edge technologies. The Production Lab needed a readily available solution to quickly place orders with AGVs from a wide range of manufacturers.
The solution
Thanks to the SYNAOS Intralogistics Management Platform, commissioning and testing went very quickly. The cloud-based Software-as-a-Service approach reduced the set-up times in the Digital Production Lab to a minimum and led to a quick proof of concept on the part of MAN.
Why it was a success
In the interaction of our fast and customer-friendly SaaS solution with the integrated hardware suppliers, the MAN scenario worked like "plug & produce". Setting up a scenario for material collection and storage took only half a day. By supporting MAN in testing and proving different scenarios in an extremely short time, we made an important contribution to accelerating digitalisation processes.
