Berlin & Hannover, February 18, 2025 – When it comes to implementing automated production chains and fully connected material flows, strategic industrial partnerships are essential for modern intralogistics decision-makers. PSI Software SE - Business Unit Discrete Manufacturing and SYNAOS GmbH have recently announced their strategic collaboration and are now combining their expertise.
The objective: Increasing flexibility in production processes and material flows for joint customers. While PSI’s application optimizes production planning, SYNAOS’ software efficiently manages automated material transport. This addresses a core challenge faced by an increasing number of industrial companies: controlling modular matrix production with powerful software.
“In practice, our collaboration works as follows: PSI’s software generates a rough plan of what should be produced, when, and where. It then automatically sequences and schedules the orders,” explains Holger Bänsch, Head of Automotive OEM at PSI. “This results in specific intralogistics transport orders, which are executed by mobile robots, for example. SYNAOS’ software takes over the control of these robots.”
“Our systems integrate seamlessly,” says Dr. Philipp Schäfers, Head of Partner Management at SYNAOS. “PSI’s software algorithms handle production planning, while our SYNAOS Intralogistics Management Platform ensures that mobile robots transport products and required materials on time through its optimization algorithms. With PSI, we have gained an experienced partner whose products and expertise perfectly address the needs of our joint customers.”
Currently, SYNAOS and PSI are already managing battery production for a major German automotive OEM. The collaboration between the two companies lays the foundation for the application of advanced technologies specifically tailored to the needs of modern manufacturing enterprises.
