We are thrilled to announce the release of version 1.10 of our Intralogistics Management Platform as we, at SYNAOS, are committed to driving innovation and excellence in intelligent, synchronized intralogistics.
In version 1.10, we have focused on enhancing key areas such as mobile robot fleet management and warehouse execution. The introduction of our user-friendly "Order Creator" simplifies transport order creation. Additionally, our warehouse execution solution has been enhanced.
Discover everything new in the SYNAOS IMP in the following release notes.
So far either a supervising third party application was required to create the necessary transport orders to fulfil the desired process in the facility or are use had to manually create orders per AGV.Both scenarios are not desirable if you have an environment of multiple processes that are not supervised by an ERP or WMS but require transports that are created on demand, by the people who need them. To fill this gap, we introduced the Order Creator. A simple to use, touchscreen optimised user interface, that allows the user to create the desired transport orders by the click of a single button. In order to be flexible, the key user can simply configure the desired possible transport processes per working station, which the enduser can then select to see the possible transport process fitted to his or her needs. Even monitoring and cancelling orders is possible.
So far we only introduced AGV and AMR from vendor that either stored all information about their driving paths locally on the vehicle itself or calculated the path dynamically according to the boundary given by the order they received. Now the SYNAOS IMP is even more flexible and offers another possibility: Storing the trajectory information in the SYNAOS IMP and sending the needed information as part of order that is forwarded to the vehicle. This offers the opportunity to avoid the need of big data storage on the vehicle and work intensive data updates for big fleets. Simply decide if the SYNAOS IMP should send out trajectory information while creating the vehicle type to make use of this new functionality. In order to allow for message size optimisation, it can be even configured if the trajectory information should only be send out for already released parts of the order or for ever edge that is part of the order.
In response to the challenge of overlapping elements on the shopfloor view, such as mobile robots, assets, and navigation graphs, we have introduced a new feature that simplifies the selection process. Previously, users had to rely on specific filters to accurately select the desired element. However, with our latest release, we have streamlined this process to provide a more intuitive and efficient user experience. Now, users can easily select the desired element even when they are displayed on top of each other. This eliminates the need for manual filter adjustments, saving time and ensuring accurate selections on the shopfloor view.
InIn our latest release, we've implemented significant improvements to the reliability in picking process in pick tower. Now, instead of creating duplicate entries, the system correctly updates the batch for box that gets scanned in two different jobs. This ensures accuracy throughout the system. One use case is when an empty box is scanned but not placed on the conveyor, it is automatically removed from the batch when there is new information available e.g. another picker scanned the box in next picking job. The system also offers an API to remove the box from the batch it was incorrectly assigned to. This unblocks the process and an affected batch can be released to consolidation station. These enhancements simplify the picking and conveyor transport process, provide accurate updates, and eliminate duplicates upon unintended scanning errors.
Previously during a pick tour warehouse workers sometimes encountered the case that the items of two consecutive tasks (from different customer orders) were located in the same slot. However, workers still had to scan the slot for each pick to continue to the next task.To improve the picking tour for intralogistics workers and reduce the amount of scanning, we implemented "group picking", where we group the milestones of a picking tour by the slots, which allows the workers to scan each slot only ONCE in order to pick all items from the scanned slot. If the same item is needed multiple times out of the same slot we now simply increase the quantity of it in our UI.
Packages are items that belong together and don’t have a separate item ID. For example a table is in total one item. But it consists out of several packages one for the table top and 4 for the table legs. When picking, consolidating or during the put away process the worker needs to know that the table top and legs need to be stored together otherwise the customer would receive a wrong packed shipment in other words: a table without legs or only legs without a table top. When an item with multiple packaged is scanned an an alert (visual and vibration of the device) occurs showing the exact number of packages.
